  • Carnegie Mellon University: Osher Lifelong Learning Institute
    The Osher Institute (formerly the Academy for Lifelong Learning at Carnegie Mellon University) is a non-credit program for any adult in the Pittsburgh area. Size of membership is limited. New applicants are put on a waiting list.
  • CCAC: Community College of Allegheny County Community Education
    CCAC offers courses for seniors in their noncredit offerings. Senior citizens can benefit from classes—such as golf, computers and fitness—geared specifically toward older adults.
  • City of Pittsburgh: Healthy Active Living
    Healthy Active Living is committed to ensuring that all persons 60 and older live active and healthy lives. To achieve this goal, Citiparks Community Services operates 15 senior community centers focused on improving the physical, intellectual, social, cultural and financial interests of older residents.
  • Laurelville Mennonite Church Center
    Offers Elderhostel Events featuring Mennonite themes and local topics in the Laurel Highlands.
  • OASIS Pittsburgh
    A unique educational program for mature adults who want to continue to grow, learn and be productive, that serves more than 350,000 members age 55+ in 26 American cities, including Pittsburgh.
  • Radio Information Service
    Radio Information Service broadcasts the reading of print information to people who are blind or unable to read due to other disabilities.
  • University of Pittsburgh Osher Lifelong Learning Institute
    Experience the joy of learning with noncredit courses designed for individuals who are retired or semi-retired, age 55 or over. Members of the OLLI may choose from an array of noncredit courses taught by distinguished Pitt emeriti faculty and scholars, audit an undergraduate course, and participate in many special programs.

    Formerly Elderhostel. A not-for-profit organization providing high-quality, affordable, educational adventures for adults 55 and older. You can search by state for adventures in Pennsylvania.
  • The World Lecture Hall
    Free online course materials created by faculty worldwide who are using the Web to deliver class materials (course syllabi, assignments, lecture notes, exams, class calendars, multimedia textbooks, etc.). Search or Browse.
